What might I work on in treatment?

Depending on your treatment plan, sessions may include:

  • Individual conversations about your goals, challenges, and progress.
  • Therapeutic groups to practice coping skills and discuss recovery.
  • Learning to recognize triggers and handle cravings, stress, and difficult emotions.
  • Working on communication, relationships, and ways to reduce the risk of returning to use.
  • Family education or therapy when appropriate for your care.

Your care team explains the services and schedule recommended for you. Current availability and your assessment guide the plan.

Explore intensive outpatient and ongoing care

Intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) offers structured support with daytime groups. Ongoing outpatient care supports continued work on recovery with a schedule based on your needs and available services.

Ask our team about current openings, program schedules, and the assessment process. ORS offers onsite and virtual care; availability is discussed during admissions.

Mental health and recovery together

Substance use and mental health concerns can happen together. Our outpatient approach brings both into the conversation so you can discuss your experience and goals with your care team.

If you are looking for support with both, call to ask about available services and the assessment for program fit.

Family support and community connection

Family education and therapy help loved ones understand recovery and work on communication. You are welcome to ask about support for a family member and how loved ones may be involved in care.

ORS is located in Oxnard and welcomes inquiries from people and referring professionals across Ventura County. For a professional referral, call Clarence to discuss availability and how to coordinate the next step.

Getting started and checking insurance

We can help verify commercial insurance benefits, review network status and any out-of-network benefits, and discuss anticipated costs before treatment begins.

Questions about getting started

Can I attend treatment while continuing my daily responsibilities?

Outpatient care means you attend treatment and go home afterward. We know work, family, and daily responsibilities are part of your life. Call us to talk through current daytime options and the time commitment your care may involve.

Can a family member call first?

Absolutely. If you’re worried about someone you love, you’re welcome to call and ask questions. Clarence can explain the available programs and how getting started works. We’ll also explain any permissions needed to discuss another person’s care.

Which outpatient program should I choose?

You don’t need to choose before you call. Tell us what you’re looking for, and we’ll explain IOP and ongoing outpatient care in everyday terms. An assessment helps guide the recommendation based on your needs.

Is outpatient care right for me?

ORS provides outpatient care for adults. It does not include overnight housing, onsite medical detox, or emergency care. If a different level of care is needed, discuss appropriate next steps with the team.

You do not need to decide on a program yourself. Call to ask about an assessment, current services, and the recommended level of support.
